"Callie Ride" was a pitch made for the 2016-17 Nickelodeon Pitch Program. It was submitted and then pitched at Nick studios, but ultimately did not move forward.
Here are some of the designs and materials from that short, which was an awesome learning experience for me.
"Callie Ride" is the story of a girl mechanic and motorcycle fanatic who is challenged to a race by the rich kid on the block and, despite her concerned friends, becomes obsessed with building the biggest, most powerful motorcycle to outrun a high-tech scooter.
Callie is a high-energy character with a limitless love for engineering, and the odd ways she sticks out of a crowd make her the perfect leader for a troupe of weirdo kids on the block.
Designs for a pilot project for FOX ADHD called "The Al Madrigal Show." It was a show centered around standup-style stories, animated in different styles for each story. These are the products of various workshopping of styles from 2015-16.
I was responsible for boarding to a radioplay and coming up with an assembly of diverse designs for the different stories and characters in the pitch, most of which were of comedian Al Madrigal.
Ila (pronounced "eye-la") is a character concept for a yet-unwritten comic.
She wields the tech to transform any frozen dairy products into an arsenal of weapons, and uses them to fight crime!
Character designs for my student film, "Sleep Awake". It was completed as a thesis film in 2015.
Scout is the main character, trying to find Betsy, awash in a sea of depressive dreams.
Visual development for Ripchord, a show about a cover band for the most famous hair metal group of the 80's. With a diva bassist, a bullheaded guitarist, a silent drummer, and a vocalist with stage fright, what they mean to do in homage to their favorite band ends up getting them into some crazy hijinks.
Designs done for myself, either for smaller projects or with no project in mind.
